Philmont 2009 - Day 3

6/25/2009 tmccann Unknown

Another busy day awaits our traveling crew of vagabonds!  This morning, they will need to clear out of Peterson Air Force Base and get all of their gear loaded on the bus.  After breakfast, they'll have a 45 minute bus ride to Pikes Peak.  Once there, they will board the Manitou and Pike's Peak Railway for the ride to the 14,115 ft. summit. After lunch, they'll head to La Junta, CO, which is about 2.5 hours southeast of Colorado Springs.  Tonight, they will see a performance by the Koshare Dancers.  Interesting to note is that the members of the Koshare Dancers are all members of either Boy Scout Troop 232 or Venturing Crew 2230 of the Rocky Mountain Council, Boy Scouts of America.
